Chinmaya Hanuman Yatra
As part of Chinmaya Mission 75th Anniversary Celebrations (Amrit Mahotsav) next year 2026, Chinmaya Mission Sydney, presents the Chinmaya Hanuman Yatra — a 21 week pilgrimage tour to honour Hanuman ji & the legacy of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, and carry His message, grace and presence across the sacred landscape of Sydney homes & temples.
Beginning at Chinmaya Sannidhi ashram in Castle Hill on 27 Sept 2025 and culminating at the Chinmaya Hanuman Festival, Blacktown Showgrounds Oval on 6 April 2026, the Hanuman Yatra will journey through the heart of Sydney suburbs — awakening souls, uniting communities with devotion & service – the Hanuman Way, and celebrating the timeless relevance of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda’s vision.
Important Dates:
- Sat 27 Sept 2025Â – Launch Yatra at Chinmaya Sannidhi Ashram , Castle Hill
- 27 Sept – 13 Dec’25 – First part of Hanuman ji yatra around Sydney suburbs
- 14 Dec – 30 Jan’26 – Hanuman ji will be in ashram during the Xmas/NY holiday break
- 31 Jan – 28 March’26 – second part of Hanuman ji Yatra around Sydney suburbs
- Thurs 2 April 2026 – Hanuman Jayanti actual day; Hanuman ji to be returned in ashram by the Yajaman, who hosted the 28 March satsang
- Fri 3 2026 – Hanuman Jayanti Celebrations at Chinmaya Sannidhi ashram in Castle Hill. Program will start morning with chanting of Hanuman Chalisa 108 times.
- Mon 6 April 2026 – Chinmaya Hanuman Festival at Blacktown Showgrounds. Hanumanji will make a grand entry at the start of event, 108 Havan Kunds, Cultural Program, Community Stalls & Food.
